Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science in association with TNU jointly celebrated much awaited Annual Sports Day “Sports & Athletics Meet 2019” on 16th February, 2019 at the university playground.Participated by over 160 enthusiastic boys and girls and faculty and staffs, the spirit of the competition lifted to its highest level.The opening ceremony started by paying tribute to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack. Graced with the presence of vice chancellor of The Neotia University and top dignitaries from different fields, the Sports Annual Day celebration is an event worth watching.
Dr. Biswajit Ghosh, Vice chancellor, The Neotia University declared the Meet open and released the balloons as a symbol of opening the Meet. The athletics meet started with 100mts racing heat events for girls and boys. Individual events like high jump, long jump, discus throw, shotput throw were held. Group events including tug of war and relay race were also organized. The events were not limited to only the students. Sporting events like dummy golf, shot put throw and musical chair were open to faculty and as well as for staffs. The extravagant sports saga concludes with medal ceremony to felicitate and encourage the champions of various events.
