Every year the National Entrepreneurship Network celebrates the Entrepreneurship week in the second week of February, encouraging institutes and their e-cells to have a wide array of events to encourage innovation and development. For this one week, lakhs of people across the country will celebrate Entrepreneurship Week India. This year too, the e-week was celebrated from February 10-17, 2018 at the campus.
E-cell members of NITMAS and TNU thought that there is no better way to innovate than out of all that everyone else discards as “waste”. In the week long programme therefore, E-cell looked forward to innovating and exploring the sanctity of all that we throw away. The events were evenly distributed throughout the week. E-Week -2018 was inaugurated by Dr. Rajeev Verma and Mr. Suhas. Mukherjee by planting saplings, in accordance to the theme.There were many events like "SCAVENGER HUNT”- testing of the mind's ability to think out of the Box, "INNOVATION & YOU”-creativity skills and innovation through technical or non-technical projects, "MASTER CHEF”-assimilate a Dish without the use of fire, "AD-MADS"-making a short video promoting one of the articles of daily use, “$1 VENTURE”-purchase wares with an amount and sell them, "Rang De RANGOLI”- logo designing by making a rangoli and "B-PLAN"-present a business plan of a given product. All events had a great success. The week ends with prize distribution ceremony among the winners.
